| Will there be any sign of Trainwreck in the D’s upcoming movie: “Tenacious D in The Pick of Destiny”? I’m going try to get them in there, I think they should just be like playing at a truck stop or something you know, but as of right now it doesn’t look like there’s a place for them. But I’m hoping maybe we can play the wrap party or something, you know… keep it real. Can you tell us anything else about the movie? Well, the script is the funniest script I’ve ever read, or written. But it really has become the first one that I’ve had a hand in. It’s gonna be great I think, it’s probably going to be one of the best movies the world has ever seen and certainly one of the most funny. It might be the most funny, but it’s hard to say because we haven’t made it yet. I think it could be, and we’re just waiting to see. Have you written any new songs for the movie? Yes, we’re in the process of penning some new tunes for the motion picture. Otherwise, have you been working on any new projects lately in film or music? Of course the Wreck has been sort of dominating my creative time lately. I’m just kind of relaxing actually, so no, but I’m always thinking of ideas. I wanted to do maybe a Trainwreck salute to Broadway or maybe do our favorite show tunes. I’m also working on a play with Evie Peck, a little two man called Suit Case Full of Dreams. That’s in the workshop right now. If Trainwreck had one message in their music,, what would it be? Shake your groove thing… in a country way! Well that’s pretty much all of the questions I had for you Kyle. I would like to thank you for taking the time in doing this interview with me today. Is there anything you would like to add as a final statement, maybe some Kyle Gass words of wisdom? East Coast prepare yourself, Trainwreck is coming down the track, There’s going to be a party in your town. And remember, don’t lock your daughter’s up... we’ll bring'em back just fine! |
